Bicycle Maintenance Club

Sessions currently run monthly, from 3-5pm on 1st Saturday of the month at Peak Tri Store (Unit 7b, Meverill Road).
Sessions have a 2-part structure:
3-4pm: Maintenance Demonstration, including reminder of Safety Check Routine + Scheduled Topic (see rota below)
4-5pm: Individual Practice/Maintenance Time with Expert Support (either time to practise topic using own bike or a demonstration bike, or free time to use bike stands, tools and cleaning equipment for any non-specialist maintenance tasks)
We will ensure that demonstrations of core maintenance tasks, such as puncture repair and brake pad replacement, are repeated every few months, to provide regular refreshers combined with the opportunity to practise with support at hand. We also want to be as responsive as possible to participants’ needs, and may schedule more bespoke sessions to help us do this. To find out our next topic, see the Discussion tab within the latest Bicycle Maintenance Club event advertised via the TDEG Facebook Group.
Demonstrations and non-specialist maintenance support and equipment are provided free of charge. Spare parts will be on hand to purchase.
If you just want to use our kit and support for basic maintenance tasks on your own bike, feel free to drop in during the second half (by 4:30); you do not need to attend the demonstration.
