We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who helped, donated and swapped at our ‘Swap, don’t Shop’ event at the St. John’s Institute last Saturday.
It was a great success and it was lovely to chat to people, drink coffee, and eat cake (thank you to all our bakers and cake bar donators – you know who you are 
). People left with smiles on their faces, knowing they’d acquired some lovely new clothes without harming the planet or putting a dint in their bank account!

Thank you also to all who provided clothes rails and hangers, and to those who helped clear up at the end of the morning.
We raised £136 in donations – thank you! This paid for the hire of the venue and left some money for TDEG’s future events. We have also donated a lot of the leftover clothes to various charities in the local area – so many people have benefitted from your generosity.
