Welcoming the Tour de France Femmes – Your Ideas (2)

On 31 July 2027, the Tour de France Femmes will pass through our village. With the main road closed for much of the day, this once-in-a-generation moment gives us a unique opportunity to transform the heart of Tideswell into a village-wide celebration, bringing people together around one of the world’s most iconic sporting events.

What could that day look like? Music? Food? Activities for children? A village dressed in yellow? Walks and rides? Something completely different?

And what might it lead to? More support for safer everyday cycling, including children travelling to school? An annual community event? New ideas and partnerships between local groups?

TDEG’s Cycling Project is helping to take a lead with preparations. We’d love to hear your ideas and welcome anyone who wants to help make it happen.
