Took a stroll up to the south end of Hay Dale via Wheston and aside from the usual subjects I saw the following

Lesser redpoll
Linnet
Great cormorant (flying over)
Mistle thrush
Approx 40 fieldfare
Swallow
House martin
Starling
Skylark
2 Brown Hare
Red-tailed bumblebee
White-tailed bumblebee
Buff-tailed bumblebee
Early bumblebee
Red dead nettle
Also heard a grasshopper warbler but could not see it but confident of ID after using BirdNET app.
Saw a flash of a probable little owl but disappeared behind a hill and could not confirm.
