TDEG Open Meeting – How do we futureproof Tideswell? – All welcome
How do we futureproof Tideswell?
We are delighted that TDEG’s next whole group meeting will be led by Phil Korbel, a co-founder of the Manchester-based Carbon Literacy Project.
Phil is a naturalised Mancunian slowly emigrating to Cressbrook, former broadcaster and serial social entrepreneur. He helped found the Carbon Literacy Project out of a wish to leave his daughters ‘a future not an apology’. He represents the charity across nations and sectors and loves to connect up its diverse partners to enable the sum to become greater than its parts. Phil is also an active member of the Save Cressbrook Dale campaign and keen patron on Friday evenings at the Cressbrook CLub..
Phil will give a short talk about climate change and the Carbon Literacy Project and then help us work together on some ideas for making Tideswell and the surrounding area an even better place to live. Reducing greenhouse gas emissions and creating a community that is more resilient to heatwaves and floods.
Let’s get practical about what we can do and how we can help each other.
7.30pm – 9.00pm at Fountain Square Church
All welcome. No need to book. There is no charge for attendance but a small donation on the night to cover room hire would be welcome.
