Dry Stone Walling in Derbyshire

Talk by Trevor Wragg, Master Craftsman, DSWA

3.00 – 4.15 p.m. on Saturday 30 July in the Pavilion at Tideswell Community Park (the Sports Complex)

Trevor Wragg, Master Craftsman in dry stone walling, will be giving an interactive talk and sharing photos and fascinating facts about hundreds of years of history about our local dry stone walls in this talk in Tideswell.

All welcome, including children and young people with an adult. The talk will be appropriate and interesting for children. Parking and toilets are available.

Contribution of £3 per adult, under 18s free.

Qualified volunteers from the Dry Stone Walling Association will be repairing sections of wall between the nature trail and the fields off Recreation Road during Saturday and Sunday from 9.30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Do come and see them working and have a chat. They will make an important contribution to Tideswell Community Park.

The pavilion is off St John’s Road, up Bishop Pursglove School Drive with car parks on the right and left. SK17 8NE.
