Rivers Group – first meeting

This is the first meeting of a new Rivers Group, proposed at our last general meeting (more info here – Water quality in our local streams and rivers – Tideswell & District Environment Group).

7pm, Wednesday 20 November, in Fountain Square Church. Everyone is welcome.

This is an opportunity to shape what the group will look like, and share ideas about actions we might take to address the challenging issues of local water quality. Actions might include citizen science type activities to monitor water quality in Tideswell Brook, lobbying the appropriate agencies about necessary changes in regulations and treatment technologies, or increasing awareness locally about things we can all do to reduce pressure on the local water network.
